The workshop gathered 19 representatives from the government sector along with NGOs and International Organizations, and 13 nationalities including: Bangladesh, Fiji, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Maldives, Mongolia, Nepal, Philippines, Republic of Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand and Vietnam.

Workshop sessions featured high level speakers, such as Mr. Ali Reza and Ms. Rachel Butler, from RSO; Ms. Rebecca Miller, from the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime; and Ms. Hyejeong Yoo, from IOM Seoul.  During the training sessions, participants actively discussed on the importance of data collection and how to get reliable human trafficking data in order to combat human trafficking. Following the training, participants dialogued on a three-model to address human trafficking crimes: Protection-Prosecution and Prevention.  Finally, participants developed an action plan based on what they learned during the workshop. Through their action plans, they were encouraged to find solutions on human trafficking.

As part of the workshop, participants visited Songak Mountain where they were able to learn about the history of Jeju and its human security issues, such as forced labor.
