CIFAL Jeju organises Youth Workshop on
Digital Technologies and Wellbeing
23 to 24 February 2023, Jeju, Republic of Korea – UNITAR CIFAL Jeju organized a Youth Workshop on “Digital Technologies and Wellbeing” from the 23 to 24 February 2023. The event invited 131 youth representatives, undergraduate and graduate students enrolled in college/university around the world. They came from 38 countries including: Cameroon, China, Colombia, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Guatemala, etc.
The workshop provided the participants with a learning opportunity where the invited speakers, Nicole Votruba(University of Oxford), Vincent Siegerink(OECD WISE Centre), Marta E. Cecchinato(Northumbria University), Sean G. Kang(WELT), Kruakae Pothong(5Rights Foundation, London School of Economics and Political Science), Jonathan Garner(Mind over Tech) shared extensive expertise on the topic of digital wellbeing from the inequalities and harms of wellbeing in result of the digital transformation and innovations to better improve the relationship between digital technologies and humans ranging from subjects focusing on children and youth, community and mental heatlth.
